Daniele Marzorati | Déplacement
Daniele Marzorati is one of the winners of Artifact Prize first edition. A focus on his project Déplacement, is developed inside Artifact publication. The series looks at colonial situations between Paris and Shanghai, linking far away objects and spaces as if they are in the same place. Through multidisciplinary reflections, the series analyses the concept of displacement, how the meaning of an object is affected by moving it from place to place. The picture represents As the crow files, a photographic diptych, that compares two sections of greenery moving from a fresco featured in the collection of Palais de la Porte doreé in Paris, to a photograph taken at Fuxing Park, inside the French concession in Shanghai.
A personal exhibition by Daniele Marzorati, will open Wednesday January 16th, 2019 at Building Gallery, in Milan.
